Additional Units in Honors Courses (4) in junior and senior year

(Four of the 24/24.5** credits must be taken in junior/senior honors courses, including at least one A.P. course with a grade of "C" or higher. A.P. U.S. history also fulfills this requirement.)

* A substitution of one credit within the departments of Language, Math and Science may be made with the approval of the Assistant Principal for Academic Programs.

** Beginning with the Class of 2010, the graduation requirement for Religious Studies will be 1 credit in sophomore year (3.5 Religious Studies credits/6.5 total credits in sophomore year). College Prep diploma will require 22.5 credits and Honors College Prep diploma will require 24.5 credits.

Confirmation of eligibility for the Honors Diploma will be made after completion of the 8th semester.  Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 average with no failing semester grade. 

Service and Retreat Graduation Requirements

In addition to the academic course requirements described above, students must fulfill the following service and retreat obligations:

  • 10 service hours as a freshman; 25 service hours as a sophomore which includes participation in a scheduled service seminar
  • All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must complete one scheduled retreat each year
