Open House Information - Sunday, December 7, 2008

Saint Ignatius College Prep is proud to announce its annual Open House on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  All tours will begin at Holy Family Church, next door to Saint Ignatius College Prep at 1080 W. Roosevelt Rd. Group tours will begin immediately at 12:00 p.m. and will embark every 20 minutes until the last tour is given at 2:20 p.m. Guests should arrive at Holy Family Church, where a brief presentation will be given by members of the school’s administration. From there, you may select one of the following tour options:

Maroon Tour (Traditional)

From the church, you will enter the school through the main entrance on Roosevelt Road. You will receive a student-guided tour of each academic area and all student and athletic facilities, including the theater and music center.

Gold Tour (Condensed)

From the church, you will enter the school through the Walsh Garden, located just east of the school’s main entrance. You will receive a student-guided tour of student and athletic facilities only, including the theater and music center.

Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Entrance Exam on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. We will be offering the STS High School Placement Test. No prior registration is necessary. Prospective students must bring two #2 pencils and the $25 test fee. No calculators are permitted. The test will begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp and will end around 12:30 p.m. Test takers should plan on arriving at Saint Ignatius College Prep no later than 7:45 a.m. Latecomers will not be admitted.

**If you are familiar with the school, have attended our Open House in the past, or are short on time, consider taking the Gold Tour. The tour will take about 30 minutes.


Parking

Parking will be available in the Racine/Roosevelt lot west of the school. Additional parking will be available in the UIC lot. The entrance is on Morgan St. east of the school off of Roosevelt Road.
