Introduction

Rowing at Saint Ignatius College Prep started in 1996 and over the past 20 years has grown significantly in size and national stature. It is a two-season sport but we offer training almost year round. The Club offers rowing on the novice, lightweight, junior varsity and varsity levels. Our mantra of “participation with excellence” is carried out by a no cut policy that makes this sport accessible to all, but at the same time demands a full commitment from each rower. Rowing is the ultimate team sport.

The Team

Rowing is a club sport at Saint Ignatius College Prep and is operated under the organization of Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing, a nonprofit corporation managed by a parent board. All players will be responsible for paying club fees in order to participate on the team; a limited number of scholarships are available. The full details of registration are available on the Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing website www.saintignatiuschicagorowing.org.
