Introduction

Rowing at Saint Ignatius College Prep began in 1996. Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing (SICR) has grown significantly over the past 20 years, gaining regional and national recognition.  It is a two-season sport, offering year round training opportunities. SICR offers rowing in the novice, lightweight, junior varsity and varsity levels.  Our philosophy is “participation with excellence”. Rowing at Saint Ignatius is a no- cut sport, making it accessible to any rower who makes a full commitment to the team.  Rowing is the ultimate team sport.
