Wolfpack Place 15th at Hoover
04/19/2010 - Novice

The boys novice 4 crew team placed 15th out of 23 teams.  This was very impressive considering both the conditions they faced at race time and that this was the first race ever for 3 out of our 4 rowers.  The novice girls also had an impressive day.  Battling the conditions, the freshman girls 8 placed 9th out of 20th, despite being taken completely off the course by the wind and a few mistakes at the 1000m mark. The novice girls also put out two fours.  The A4 took 8th in their event in an incredibly close head race that saw places 4th-8th finish within 3 seconds of each other.  The B4 of Monica Bernardo, Lizzy Cahill, Elisabeth Simon, Kennedy Tempel and coxswain Kaileigh Moore showed that size does not matter, as they took 3rd in the Novice Girls 2nd Four event, earning a bronze medal.
