Introduction
The Saint Ignatius Wolfpack girls tennis program will instill the needed qualities
of faith, discipline, determination and commitment in each individual and focus
those qualities into a philosophy of selflessness and giving to the school community
and team in order to achieve excellence and build a foundation for lifelong success.

Last Season Recap
The Wolfpack girls varsity tennis team had a great season this year, finishing the
season with a 6-1 record in the GCAC and 13-4-1 record overall highlighted by championships
in the IHSA Sectional and GCAC defeating Loyola Academy 25-22
as well as the the Lincoln Way North Invite. GCAC Player of the Year Michelle Demeo, Bethany Lynch,
Caroline White and Bess Colnon all took home first place honors; Jamie Pistorius
and Gina Casini took second place, and Katie Synder and Emily Pollard took third
place.
Four girls qualified for the State Tournament this year. Michelle Demeo won the
first place title for the sectional tournament qualifying her for the State Finals.
Bethany Lynch won third place at the sectional tournament qualifying her for the
State Finals as well. The #1 doubles team of Gina Casini and Jaimie Pistorius finished
in fourth place to qualify them for the IHSA State Finals. At the State Finals Wolfpack
Girls’ Varsity Tennis team finished 26th as a team.
