Saint Ignatius Women's Council
The Saint Ignatius Women’s Council strives to carry out the mission statement of
Saint Ignatius College Prep. The council focuses on continuing the work of “men
and women for others” in its service projects and philanthropy. All women connected
in any way to Saint Ignatius are encouraged to join the Women’s Council.
Basic membership in the Women’s Council is open to any woman who would like to serve
on any of the event committees without necessitating any financial contribution.
However, membership in the council's Philanthropic Circle is encouraged. Membership
requires a gift of $250 or more to the school. This year’s philanthropic appeal
focuses on the purchase and donation of the electronic scoreboards for the Gentile
Gymnasium, which is undergoing a comprehensive renovation. This appeal is the council’s
most ambitious one to date, with a goal to raise $50,000 in the 2008-2009 academic
year. The Women’s Council is proud to contribute to the enrichment of student life
at Saint Ignatius and looks forward to supplying new scoreboards for the Wolfpack
athletic teams.
Be sure to check the home page of the school Web site for breaking announcements
about Women’s Council activities, particularly, the fall dinner and spring retreat.
