Programming and Camps for Middle-School Students
Pack Camps - Rising 5th-6th Grades
Students who are entering 5th or 6th grade are eligible to attend our Pack Camp run by Saint Ignatius educators and senior camp counselors. Each week of Pack Camp will have plenty of fun games and activities, will center around a learning theme (STEM, Global Citizenship, Art & Writing, Chicago History, and more!), and will include a field trip somewhere in our great city of Chicago!
Pack Camp runs from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm daily. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am and wait in our cafeteria, Tully Hall. Tully Hall is supervised until 1:00 pm each afternoon. Food will be for sale from Quest, our food provider, at lunch (cash only).

5th and 6th grade students are also welcome (and encouraged!) to register for afternoon co-curricular and athletic camps that run each day from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
Cost
One week of Pack Camp is $200 or $185 per week if a student is registered for three or more total weeks of Pack Camp. All who register a 5th or 6th grade student for three or more total weeks of Pack Camp should enter the code PackCampDiscount in the 'alternate payment code' at checkout.

Pack Camp Week 1

Theme: Stewards of the EarthFor this week of Pack Camp, campers will be learning about the environment using a variety of activities and subject matters. Students will learn how we can better care for our environment along with all of the beautiful creatures that God created. We will learn about our role as caretakers, endangered animals, along with creating habitats for different animals. As a part of this week, the students will visit Lincoln Park Zoo to see the different animals that we have studied in real life.
Overall Camp Structure: Pack Camp will include daily ice breakers, games, and activities led by Ignatius senior camp counselors, daily interactive learning sessions with an Ignatius educator, and once per week, students will head out into Chicago for a field trip adventure in our great city. Theme: The Great Outdoors
Experience Chicago's great outdoors with Pack Camp Week 2! Learn about Chicago's park systems, forest preserves, and environmental initiatives throughout the city. Campers will visit Palmisano Park and the lakefront to grow in appreciation for Chicago's natural spaces.
Overall Camp Structure: Pack Camp will include daily ice breakers, games, and activities led by Ignatius senior camp counselors, daily interactive learning sessions with an Ignatius educator, and once per week, students will head out into Chicago for a field trip adventure in our great city. Pack Campers will get to know students from all around Chicago, current Ignatius seniors, and Ignatius educators over a week of fun with the Wolfpack! -
Pack Camp Week 3

Theme: Around the World & Home Sweet HomeThis week of camp will take students on an adventure around the world and close to home! Students will be learning about other cultures, languages, traditions, and people as they also learn about the different neighborhoods of Chicago. Campers will be learning about their own background as well while they create family trees, virtually travel to different countries, try out some different foods, and celebrate some holidays along the way. At the culmination of this week, students will take the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour to learn even more about the city!Overall Camp Structure: Pack Camp will include daily ice breakers, games, and activities led by Ignatius senior camp counselors, daily interactive learning sessions with an Ignatius educator, and once per week, students will head out into Chicago for a field trip adventure in our great city. Theme: Fun with SportsDuring this week, campers will learn about a variety of different sports along with nutrition and wellness! Students will have the ability to tour the Ignatius sports facilities, learn about Chicago sports and their own favorite teams, along with creating their own sports franchise! This week will incorporate outdoor activities along with learning in the classroom about the background, training, and impact of the campers' favorite sports. Students will also learn how to best care for themselves throughout the summer and school year. To culminate the week, the students will be going on a field trip to take a tour of the Chicago Cubs' Wrigley Field.

Join fellow Pack Campers in learning and practicing different writing and art techniques throughout the week. Campers will receive their own sketchpad and notebook and will engage in creative lessons to learn how to express themselves in new ways. Pack Camp will take a field trip to delve deeper into their art journey.
