Faith Life

Our Catholic Faith

All aspects of life at Saint Ignatius are rooted in our Catholic Jesuit Identity.
Spirituality, religious studies and Catholic faith permeate an Ignatian’s learning experience. In the Jesuit tradition, Ignatians are urged to find God in all things. Students spend four years learning about world religions, scripture, philosophy, Christology, ethics, and Catholic tradition. The active presence of God in our lives is celebrated at Saint Ignatius through prayer, retreats, liturgy, sacraments, service, and justice work.

Saint Ignatius College Prep’s Formation and Ministry Department provides opportunities for prayer and ministry that nourish the faith life of students. Class chaplains partner with the entire school to promote the religious development of students and the cultivation of our Christian community.

Saint Ignatius students do not just learn about faith, they live it. The student body is invited to full participation in school-wide and class year Masses, weekly prayer of the Examen, Reconciliation Services, as well as the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior retreats. Additional offerings include the celebration of daily Mass, liturgical experiences such as the Rosary, the Kairos Retreat Program for senior students, and leadership opportunities to serve as Eucharistic ministers, lectors, music ministers, liturgy planners, and retreat leaders.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Faith Life home page. The expression of our Catholic faith, further animated by Ignatian spirituality and our Jesuit heritage, is at the heart of all we do at Saint Ignatius College Prep. I hope that as you look through the links on our page, you will find the resources and programs that animate our faith life here at St. Ignatius College Prep. and are at the core of who we are and what we are about.

Blessings,
