THE WOLFPACK BEAT FENWICK 3-2 IN OVERTIME!
Heading into Thanksgiving 2022, the President of Saint Ignatius College Prep has a message.  John Chandler said, "Our community wishes all of our families and friends a joyous celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday."
It will be a special holiday, indeed, as we are so very grateful for our school family, and the fact it is Wolfpack Strong.

Thankfully, our JV Hockey Team is recovering from the frightening bus crash that has generated so much worry and concern within our community and beyond the walls of our beloved school. Some of our students have a great deal of healing in front of them, so continued prayers and good thoughts are most welcome. That said, we want you to know how much we appreciate the messages, letters, cards and kind words to this point. You've lifted us in the toughest of times!

Saint Ignatius Hockey Director Spencer Montgomery said, "In times like these, you look for the light. We're so grateful all our boys will be returning home. We look forward to the time JV Hockey can take the ice again."

Varsity Hockey has returned to competition, playing Mt. Carmel on Thursday. In what was an incredible moment of kindness and sportsmanship, both teams took time for prayer and reflection in honor of our JV players.

Saturday, Varsity team members will skate on home ice at Fifth Third Arena. The 7:30 face-off against Fenwick is part of the Blackhawks Rivalry Series. Father Patrick Fairbanks S.J. plans on saying a prayer at center ice. A member of the JV Hockey Team is expected to drop the puck to get the game going.

"Our hearts remain with all the members of the Saint Ignatius JV Hockey Team," said Athletic Director Mike Hurley, "Our arms are extended to all of them right now with great care and support. We look forward to cheering on our Hockey team tomorrow as they play in honor of their friends, classmates and community."
