After beginning as an assistant coach in 2019, Daniel Lee took charge of the Saint Ignatius College Prep Boys and Girls Tennis teams. During his tenure, he’s helped numerous singles and doubles players qualify for the IHSA State Finals. The girls won an IHSA Sectional title, and the boys clinched a CCL Championship. Coach Lee also led the boys doubles team to a fifth place finish at the IHSA State Finals in 2023.

Wolfpack End Season at State Finals
The Wolfpack completed their season at the IHSA State Finals on Thursday and Friday. In singles play, Kate Gibble lost a close match to Neuqua Valley 4-6, 1-6. Then fell to Downers Grove South 0-6, 1-6. Kate qualified for the IHSA State Finals as a first year player and we are excited to see her improve throughout the years to come. The doubles team of Gabriela Cilella and Sadie-Sue Ross beat Lake Zurich 6-4, 7-5 in the first round on Thursday. Then lost to the 3-4 seed from Hinsdale Central 1-6, 1-6 in the second round. The consolation match was suspended on Thursday due to weather at 1-2 15:30 on Glenbrook South’s serve. Wolfpack started strong when play resumed on Friday morning after a two hour delay wining 2 games to go up 3-2 but could not secure the win and fell 4-6, 2-6.Read More -
Pack Head to Maine South for IHSA Sectional
The Wolfpack competed in the IHSA Sectional hosted at Maine South. Leading Ignatius was Kate Gibble who won 3rd place beating Whitney Young 6-4, 6-2 while Gabby Cilella and Sadie-Sue Ross beat Mt. Prospect to win 3rd place as well 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. The girls will represent Ignatius at the IHSA State Finals starting Thursday.Read More -
Wolfpack Place 2nd at GCAC Championships
The Pack took 2nd at the GCAC Championships at XS Tennis. The Wolfpack was led by Surina Iyengar and Sadie-Sue Ross who won the #2 Doubles championship position! Kate Gibble and #3 doubles team of Ally Stelmach and Nadia Millar made it to the finals. Gabby Cilella and Mariel Negrin took 3rd place while Emma Swanson took 4th.Read More -

The Wolfpack went to the Fremd Invite this past Saturday. Ignatius struggled on the day falling to Glenbrook North 4-1 and Conant 5-0 in the seven team invite.Read More -

The Wolfpack swept the Beverly Bank Invite with wins over Mother McAuley (4-0), Marist (3-1) and Morgan Park Academy (4-0). State Rep. Kelly M. Burke, class of '84, presented the trophy.Read More
