Social Work

Saint Ignatius College Prep offers social work services to support students through social-emotional challenges that can interfere with the high school experience.
Individual and group social work services, both in-person and virtual, are available to all students. Students may wish to see the social worker for a variety of reasons such as: concerns about self-esteem, coping skills, stress management skills, peer interactions, anger management, divorce/separation/loss, and social skills. The school social worker also works with students in crisis situations and helps link students to outside resources when appropriate. While maintaining a professional obligation to confidentiality, the social worker collaborates with parents, school counselors, faculty, and outside clinicians to best support students.
