Social Work

Saint Ignatius College Prep offers social work services to support students through social-emotional challenges that can interfere with the high school experience.
Individual and group social work services are available to all students at St. Ignatius College Prep. Students may wish to see the social worker for a variety of reasons such as: concerns about self-esteem, coping skills, stress management skills, peer interactions, anger management, divorce/separation/loss, and social skills. The school social worker also works with students in crisis situations and helps link students to outside resources when appropriate. While maintaining a professional obligation to confidentiality, the social worker collaborates with parents, school counselors, faculty, and outside clinicians to best support students.
