Wolfpack Take 3rd at Rosary

The Pack had a split weekend at the Rosary and Sandburg Invitationals. The Wolfpack placed 3rd in the final team scores with a score of 254 points. Senior Captains Jilly MacNamara and Maya Arroyo along with sophomore Liepa Niaura and freshmen Mariposa Arroyo, led off the medley for a tie for third place. Sophomore Colleen Tracy and Freshman Livia Cremer split second and fourth in the 200 IM. Liepa Niaura placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and sixth in the 100 freestyle. Sophomore Franchesca Sanchez was sixth in the 50 freestyle and eighth in the 100 butterfly. Maya Arroyo was the runner up in the 100 butterfly. The Wolfpack put on a strong performance in the 500 freestyle with Mariposa Arroyo, Jilly MacNamara, and Livia Cremer placing third, fifth, and sixth to score big points. The Arroyo sisters, Tracy, and Sanchez teamed up and placed 4th in the 200 free relay. MacNamara returns for action with event win in the 100 backstroke. Mariposa Arroyo closes her events with a sixth place in the 100 breaststroke. Capping off the meet, the relay team of Maya Arroyo, Liepa Niaura, Jilly MacNamara, and Colleen Tracy place second in the 400 freestyle relay. The Wolfpack rallies for the Fremd Invitational on September 30.
