Recognizing Extraordinary Athletic Achievement

Our Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individual athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, friends or clergy who have had extraordinary athletic achievements during their time at Saint Ignatius College Prep. We first gave the award in 1995. Now we present it during the Athletic Hall of Fame Reception and Induction Ceremony.

Four Award Categories

  • Athlete

    • Nominee must have graduated from Saint Ignatius College Prep
    • Nominee must have an undergraduate degree
    • Nominee is eligible for consideration in the 10th selection process after his/her graduation date
    • Student transfers into Saint Ignatius are eligible for consideration
    • Student transfers out of Saint Ignatius are not eligible for consideration
  • Administrator / Coach (Head or Assistant)

    • Nominee must have had a minimum of 10 years of service to Saint Ignatius College Prep
    • A former administrator or coach is eligible one year after retirement or one year  after the end of his/her service to the school
  • Team

    • A successful team is eligible for consideration after 10 years have passed
  • Honorary

    • An honorary candidate is not an administrator, coach or athlete
    • An honorary candidate must have made a significant impact on the Saint Ignatius College Prep Athletic Program
    • Or, an honorary candidate must have achieved regional, state, national or international levels of recognition for athletics outside of Saint Ignatius College Prep
