Our mission statement:
To advocate for intellectual excellence, integrity, and life-long learning and growth, the Saint Ignatius College Prep Library provides leadership and support for the school community through access to resources, instruction, and collaboration. Inspired by Jesuit, Catholic faith, tradition, and values, the library strives to ensure that members of this school community are effective and responsible users and creators of information and ideas.

Our library offers a wide range of resources and services to our students, including a book collection of 28,000 volumes, a reference collection of 3,000 volumes, and a periodical collection of over 20 current titles with extensive back issues and bound volumes. In addition, we receive the following newspaper subscriptions: Chicago Sun-Times and The Catholic New World

The library also offers quiet study and collaborative work space for students and classes. Library assistance is available for research, writing, citations, and technology applications, as well as books and apps needed for coursework.

Library Hours of Operation

Our library is open on school days from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
