Wolfpack End Season at State Finals

The Wolfpack completed their season at the IHSA State Finals on Thursday and Friday. In singles play, Kate Gibble lost a close match to Neuqua Valley 4-6, 1-6. Then fell to Downers Grove South 0-6, 1-6. Kate qualified for the IHSA State Finals as a first year player and we are excited to see her improve throughout the years to come. The doubles team of Gabriela Cilella and Sadie-Sue Ross beat Lake Zurich 6-4, 7-5 in the first round on Thursday. Then lost to the 3-4 seed from Hinsdale Central 1-6, 1-6 in the second round. The consolation match was suspended on Thursday due to weather at 1-2 15:30 on Glenbrook South’s serve. Wolfpack started strong when play resumed on Friday morning after a two hour delay wining 2 games to go up 3-2 but could not secure the win and fell 4-6, 2-6.
