WEEKEND ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!!

The Wolfpack experienced a historic weekend of IHSA postseason success across multiple sports.
Girls Volleyball moved to 25-9 overall as they won the IHSA Super-Sectional 26-24, 25-20 to go to the IHSA State Finals for the first time in program history. Marin Thaxton led the Wolfpack with a double-double on 11 kills and 10 digs, and Sydney DeProfio also had a double-double with 7 kills, 12 assists, 13 digs and 1 ace. Ellie Kowalski was all over the court with 28 digs while passing a 2.67 with 4 assists. Skylar Greene was again a force in the front row with 11 kills and 2 blocks. The Pack will take on Lincoln at Redbird Arena in Bloomington, Normal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
 
Football defeated Huntley 35-23 to improve to 8-3 and advanced to the IHSA 8A Quarterfinals next Saturday against Loyola Academy.  The Pack were led by rushing touchdowns from Liam Hynes, Jack Wanzung and Justin Scott, and a solid defensive effort to limit the Red Raiders passing attack.  The Pack will host the Ramblers next Saturday at 3:00 PM on Fornelli Field.  
 
Girls Swimming & Diving won the 2023 IHSA Saint Ignatius Sectional, the program's 19th overall, at UIC Flames Natatorium on Saturday to advance to the IHSA State Championship next weekend. The following athletes qualified: Aisling Crowley, Maya Arroyo, Jilly MacNamara, Colleen Tracy, Liepa Niaura, Livia Cremer, Mariposa Arroyo and Chayse Massimino. The IHSA State Championship will take place on Friday Nov 10th for Prelims and Saturday Nov 11 for Finals at FMC Natatorium in Westmont.
 
Girls Cross Country brought home a third-place trophy from the 2A State Cross Country Finals in Peoria on Saturday. This was the highest finish in program history! Annika Swan established a new school record with her second-place finish, only 0.05 seconds behind the race winner. Ella Hwang joined Swan as an All-State selection by finishing 15th. Lizeth Montes, Meghan Semmer, Emma Valencia, Sarah Fitzgerald and Courtney Beatty contributed to the 43-point margin over the nearest team.
 
Boys Cross Country also finished in 6th place at the IHSA State Finals this past weekend in Peoria. Matthew Conroy continued his fantastic season with a 4th place finish overall with a time of 14.40. The Wolfpack concluded a great season as a team!
