Historic Run Ends with 3rd Place at IHSA State Finals!

The Wolfpack (26-10 overall) ended their historic season at the IHSA State Finals by defeating Morton 26-24, 18-25, 26-24 for 3rd Place in state. The Wolfpack was up 23-20 in both game one and game three only to give up four point rallies and give Morton game point in both sets. In each game, the Pack showed their teeth and went on three point rallies of their own to secure the set wins and win the match! Marin Thaxton (2 aces, 9 kills, 16 digs, 2.23 pass %) evened the score with a kill. Then Skylar Greene (16 kills, 7 digs) hammered a ball through the block to take the lead and Mariella Ciaravino (11 kills, 2 blocks, 27 digs, 2.47 pass %) ended the match with a deep kill to the middle of the court. Sydney DeProfio was named IVCA All-Tournament Team after her triple-double of 11 kills, 24 assists and 18 digs! Gabby Williams led the team hitting .571 with 4 kills, Ellie Kowalski led the team with 29 digs and Audrey Schabes just missed her second double-double in a row with 16 assists, 9 digs and an ace. The Wolfpack would break the All-Time Team Kill (1,008), Attack Attempt (3,040), Assist (950), Assist Attempt (2,864) and Dig (1,682) records this season.
