Wolfpack Take Down Mighty Macs

The Wolfpack started GCAC play on Saturday and came away with a 3-1 victory over Mother McAuley. Despite numerous attempts on goal, the Wolfpack was down 0-1 at half time but came out blazing in the second half.  The first goal was scored by senior defender Captain Emma Penner with a long ball into the goal area, which floated in just under the crossbar. The two subsequent goals were scored by Kayla Washington, the first from a corner by Lauren Reed and the second with an assist from wingback Izzy Radecki.  The Wolfpack has been playing some of the top ranked teams in the state over the past two weeks and has developed a solid defense with Quinn Urquhart, Emma Penner, Lucy Schmidt, Lilly Schwartz, Carmella O' Malley and Izzy Radecki, anchored by keeper MC Galante, turning in a strong performance.  Next week, the team takes on U of C Lab School and is gunning for another victory.
