H-F Barely Tops Pack in PK's

It was a heartbreaker at the BODYARMOR championship game this past Sunday against Homewood-Flosmoor.  The Wolfpack took an early lead on a PK after Kayla Washington was taken down by the Homewood Flossmoor goalie in the box. The Wolfpack backline of Emma Penner, Lucy Schimdt, Izzy Radecki and Lily Schwartz had their hands full keeping track of attackers.  For long stretches the Wolfpack midfield dominated and kept the ball in front of the H-F goal, but the keeper for H-F was able to intercept every shot. Meanwhile, our keeper MC Galante had two incredible diving fingertip saves to keep us ahead.  H-F never stopped pushing and finally scored an equalizer late in the game to make it 1-1 at the end of regulation. The Pack then was edged in penalty kick's and H-F won the bracket with a 3-2 margin in overtime.  It was a great effort by the Wolfpack!
