The Saint Ignatius wrestling program will instill the needed qualities of faith, discipline, determination and commitment in each individual, and focus those qualities into a philosophy of selflessness and giving to the school community and team, in order to achieve excellence and build a foundation for lifelong success.
Saint Ignatius wrestling is an IHSA class 2A program that competes in the Chicago Catholic Conference during the regular season.

Wolfpack Host IHSA Regional
The Wolfpack hosted the IHSA Regional for the first time in school history this season. The Pack had 10 IHSA Sectional qualifiers and two individual champions. Nate Sanchez and Melson Nggasa each won their weight classes as they go off to the Grayslake IHSA Sectional.Read More -
Pack Come Close at IHSA Sectional
The Pack ended their season at the IHSA Sectional in Grayslake. Ignatius was represented by their 10 IHSA Regional qualifiers. Nate Sanchez, Alex Villanueva and Colton Huff came within one match of making the state finals.Read More -
Wolfpack Split Tri-Angular
The Pack split their matches on Wednesday night with a 64-12 win over Bremen and a close 43-39 loss to De La Salle. The Wolfpack and Meteors battled until the final wrestler before being edged. Melson Ngassa and Alex Villanueva went 2-0 on the night to lead Ignatius.Read More -
Crusaders Defeat Pack
The Wolfpack fell to CCL Blue Division power Br. Rice on the road 43-23 Thursday night. The Pack got huge wins from Nate Sanchez, Jim Higgins and Chris Morris. Next up for the Pack is the CCL Championships hosted by St. Rita.Read More -
Pack Go 1-2 at Home Quad
The Wolfpack went 1-2 on Wednesday night falling to Marist 65-13, Hope 46-43 and defeating Kennedy 68-6. The Pack was led by Nate Sanchez who went 3-0 on the night and became the third wrestler in program history to reach 100 wins. Colton Huff also went 3-0 for the Pack.Read More -

Wolfpack Sweep On Senior Night
The Wolfpack swept their home quad on Senior Night defeating Bak of the Yards (64-18), Nazareth (68-9) and Taft (54-18). The Pack was led by seniors Kalet Menendez and Luciano Tufano with 2 wins each. On the girls side, the Pack was led by GG Garduna who was 4-0, and has a record of 13-0 on the season.Read More -

The Wolfpack moved to 10-2 overall by winning the Silver Bracket at the Chicago Hope Invite going 4-1. After falling to Crown Point 72-12 the Wolfpack dominated the rest of the day defeating Cleveland Heights 43-30, Elgin 76-6, Hope 42-24 and Taft 47-18.Read More -
