Schmiedeler Leads Pack at Bud James

In the last race of his cross country career, senior Ted Schmiedeler won the Bud James Invite on Tuesday, running a time of 16 minutes and 54 seconds over the three-mile Washington Park course and leading the Wolfpack with a perfect score of 15 over Latin (49), University High (86), Acero/Garcia (119), Acero/Soto (150), and Cristo Rey Jesuit (156). The Pack took nine of the top ten places, with senior AJ Meyers second (17:32), senior Declan Glaysher third (17:36), sophomore Henry Fink fourth (17:37), and junior Henry Wright fifth (17:37). “This is always a fun way to end the season, and Ted and a few others came back strong after having a tough day at the CCL meet,” said Coach Ed Ernst. “These guys had a good season!”
