On Friday in Game 1 of the Glenbrook North Soccer Quad, the Wolfpack earned their first victory of the season with an impressive 1-0 defeat of Mundelein. In a close and hard fought contest, the freshman team played their hearts out for 70 minutes. With five minutes left in the game, Ezra Ozinga threaded a ball through the middle to striker Patrick Waller who finished cleanly for the game's only tally. The defense held strong, anchored by co-captains Jackson Blackwell and Mauricio Marquez. Goalkeeper Nicholas Conroy made several impressive saves to earn the first shutout of his high school career.
