The Wolfpack captured their 16th IHSA Sectional Championship on Saturday with a great team performance and qualifying 9 for the state meet. The Pack broke 9 varsity and 2 fr/so school records as well as establishing 7 new meet records and earning All-American performances in all 3 relays as well as Abbey Taute in the 200 free. Ellie Lennon opened the meet with a dominating diving performance breaking the school record. The medley relay team of Julieta Tracy, Madison Schiml, Kira Tiv and Summer Brainin shattered the school record in taking the top spot. Abbey Taute and Piper Wood Prince had a 1-2 finish in both the 200 and 500 free locking in stat births with Taute picking up a new team record in the 200 free. Madison Schiml and Madi Szymanski followed suit with a 1-2 finish in the 200 IM both securing state births. Summer Brainin finished 2nd in the 50 free setting a new school record and qualified for state along with Jasmine Morgan who dipped under the cut as well. Kira Tiv took the top spot in the 100 fly in a new school record. Julieta Tracy broke a 7-year-old school record in the 100 free to take top honors and will be joined at state by Madi Szymanski who picked up the state time with her 4th place finish. The Pack relays capped off the meet with new meet and school records in both (Tracy, Brainin, Tiv, Schiml). Deniz Yardimici (100 back) and Fiona Connors (100 breast) had runner up performances to make the All-Sectional Team. Delany Spearing finished 6th in the 100 back, Annie Egan was 7th in the 100 breast and Kiley Del Giudice was 8th in th in the 1M Diving.
