A full day of practice and fun begins at 8:00 AM when we will have a bus or van to take boys to our annual visit to the New Buffalo, Michigan area.  We are going to meet at the Mediator Church, 14280 Red Arrow Hwy, Harbert, MI.  This is a parking lot, and there are no facilities.  Our team bus will stop at a rest room stop before it brings boys to the run. 

 

After we run, we will bring the boys to the Moore family summer home in Grand Beach nearby at 51325 Erich Lane Grand Beach, MI. The Moores will feed the boys lunch, and then give them some fun time for bags, ping pong, basketball, and air hockey.  Then we will dismiss them for a return to Ignatius at 2:00 Chicago time/3:00 Michigan time.    Parents are welcome to join us in Michigan for the run—on their bikes or on their feet—and at lunch, but please RSVP to Leti and Mike at 708-203-8920.

8:00 AM  Bus to Michigan from Saint Ignatius.  (Chicago time!)

10:30 AM  Arrive in Michigan (Eastern time!!).

10:30-12:00 PM  RUN! (Eastern time)

O’Hara: 13 miles, Lakeshore to Marquette, to Whitaker St., past New Buffalo beach, return.

Keelan: 11 miles Lakeshore to Marquette, turn around at New Buffalo beach.

Prefontaine: 6 miles, Lakeshore to Marquette, return.

Floreani: 4+ miles, Lakeshore Road to Townline Road, Union Pier, return

2:30 dismissal (Eastern time)

3:00 Bus returns to Ignatius (Chicago time)

 

Church of the Mediator from Chicago: approximately 1:20 from SICP

Take I-94 E through Indiana and into Michigan

Once crossing the Michigan border take Exit 6 toward Union Pier

At end of the off-ramp take a right on Union Pier Rd and go straight to the flashing light at the intersection with Red Arrow Hwy

Turn right on Red Arrow Hwy and drive approximately 2.5 miles to Church of the Mediator on the left.

Take I90 then I94 from Chicago

Follow I-90 E and I-94 E to US-20 W in Springfield Township. Take exit 40B from I-94 E

One mile on Grand Beach Road, destination on the left.
