Graduate Parent's Comment about the Senior Service Capstone

While I am a true believer in working hard and getting good grades, I also think it’s important for students to realize that those things should not define them, and that academic success alone is not what makes a person truly valuable in their community.

A Little Background...

The Senior Service Capstone is an opportunity for our students to put their Faith into action -- to really show how they are Men and Women For and With Others. To help our seniors accomplish this, we are making time for them in the second semester of their final year, to dedicate to service in the community. This is a collaborative undertaking that underscores our Mission. A student who graduates from Saint Ignatius College Prep is committed to Faith, love, service and leadership. We are proud to join you in the Senior Service Capstone. It is an endeavor we cannot accomplish alone. One of our program goals for Capstone is to create mutually beneficial partnerships between student and site. We are glad to report that 74 of our 75 Capstone partners are enthusiastic about hosting students again in January 2027.
