SICP Boys Swimming and Diving vs. Lane Tech Recap

SICP vs. Lane Tech- Recap
The Wolfpack Junior Varsity Swimming & Diving opened the first dual meet of the season against Lane Tech @UIC. 200 Medley Relay A and B relays made up [A Sophomore Connor Burke, Freshman Rohan Robinson, Bike Hooper-Haviland, and Sophomore Voldymyr Sobko] [B Freshman James Corby, Junior Dean Marolda, Freshman Adrian Rosado, Sophomore Danny Duff] took a 1-3 finish to start the meet with strong relay performances. Connor Burke, Danny Duff, and Junior Mathew Schiml lead the individual events with a 1-2-3 sweep of the 200 freestyle. Sophomore Aidan Dejuras and Rohan Robinson took 1st and 3rd place finishes in the 200 IM. Volodymyr Sobko took the top spot in the 50 freestyle with a 24.32. Biko Hooper-Haviland and Adrian Rosado took a 1-2 finish in the 100 fly, both under 1:10. Sobko doubled back to win the 100 free with Mathew Schiml taking the 3rd place finish. Hooper-Haviland, Dejuras, and Marolda swept the 500 freestyle 1-2-3 all under 6 minutes in the event. 200 free relays A [Rosado, Robinson, Corby, Sobko] and B [Dejuras, Marolda, Vlerick, Sophomore Daniel Barrera] went 1-2 both within 4 seconds of each other. Burke won the 100 back with a time of 1:05.28 almost even splitting the event 32.28 to 33.00 by 50. Rohan Robinson and Dean Marolda went 1-2 in the 100 breast with both being within a second of each other. The Wolfpack finished the meet with a 1-2 sweep of the 400 free relay with great closing skills by Relay A [Hooper-Haviland, Rosado, Burke, Corby] and Relay B [Dejuras, Schiml, Duff, Barrera]. The Wolfpack Junior Varsity punched their first dual meet win of the season 119 to 50 against Lane Tech. The boys are back in action this Friday 12/17 @ Loyola Academy.
