Saint Ignatius Girls Flag Football is proudly launching its inaugural season in one of the fastest-growing sports in Illinois. As the sport continues to grow across the state, we’re excited to be part of the momentum and ready to build something strong and lasting.
Our goal is to create a team culture built on leadership, motivation, teamwork, preparation, discipline, and pride. We believe football is a sport for everyone. Girls belong on the field, and this program will give them that chance—through solid coaching, relentless effort, and a focus on learning and growth. Whether they’ve played football before or bring experience from other sports, our athletes will be challenged to improve, compete, and lead.
The Team
The Wolfpack will field both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams in our first season. We’ll focus on strong fundamentals, smart execution, and a unified approach on both sides of the ball. Practices and games are designed to build confidence and help our athletes form habits that carry over off the field as well.
We also believe in student-led leadership. Our players will be encouraged to take ownership of their experience—by setting the tone at practice, holding teammates accountable, and representing the Wolfpack with pride. We want every player to grow, not just as an athlete, but as a teammate, leader, and person.
Saint Ignatius College Prep, a Jesuit Catholic school in the heart of Chicago, is a diverse community dedicated to educating young men and women for lives of faith, love, service and leadership.
