Pack Hold Off Ramblers

The Pack improved to 2-0 in the Catholic League with a tension-inducing win over Jesuit rivals Loyola on Monday night. Despite several chances early in the first half, the Wolfpack failed to score and so the game remained tied at halftime. The boys really stepped up their game in the second half and began to control possession. Again several chances to score ended without a result. Finally, with 7 minutes remaining, Thomas Fitzpatrick slipped a ball through to Filippo Gallon who finished perfectly for the game’s only score. The defense held solid behind the leadership of Lucas Hanna and Patrick Crilly. Adan Delgadillo and Russell Roberts helped anchor the midfield attack. Liam McConnell earned his first career shutout as a high school keeper.
