We hope that you and your families are doing well. It is with mixed emotions that we write to you today, both with enthusiasm and the uncertainty of government imposed regulations.
t would have been our preference to offer a full outline of traditional activities for our seniors. However, at this time we are able to provide you with what we hope will be an exciting time for our seniors and for you as parents, who have invested in their Saint Ignatius formation.
Our first priority would be to recognize the accomplishments of our graduating class of 2020. We are planning to have prom and graduation. The proposed dates would be (in order of preference):
Prom August 7th Graduation August 9th
Prom November 27th Graduation November 29th
Prom December 18th Graduation December 20th
Please pencil these in and when we are able to set a definite date, you will be informed.
In addition to Prom and Graduation plans, we have been notified that students will be allowed to return to school to clean out their lockers. At that time, each senior will pick up a “senior box” which will contain, among other things, their cap & gown, graduation announcements (if ordered) and a few other nice surprises!
The school will also be organizing several additional events/celebrations recognizing our seniors including:
A virtual Baccalaureate Mass on May 28th concelebrated at 5:30pm--the link will be provided.
The ever-popular senior dance class will be presented in some form for the seniors to view.
Many of our city-wide billboards will have messages to recognize our senior class.
There are several Saint Ignatius social media links that we would ask parents and students alike to view and participate in. See below for the different links:
These are some of the ways that we plan to honor our senior class, and with your patience we promise to make it one of the most memorable. We will be confirming these plans in the coming weeks with firm dates and times as they become available.
