For first time in recent memory, the Wolfpack swept the Fenwick Friars in five straight-set match wins at XS Tennis Village on Tuesday. Playing its first Chicago Catholic League match of the season, Ignatius boosted its overall record to 5-1. In singles competition, FR Marko Nikolic posted a quick 6-0, 6-0 victory at 1S, SO John D'Arco closed out 2S with a tight second set, 6-1, 6-4, and Co-captain SR Mike Sander finished off his 3S opponent 6-3, 6-2. In doubles action, Co-captain SO Liam McConnell and JR Sean Neiza won a spirited match against a proficient 1D team, 6-4, 7-5, while JR John Coyner and JR Tomas Blagitz de Abreu e Silva cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 win at 2D. The Pack will face the Latin School of Chicago at home on Thursday.
