This position includes coordination of Parish School of Religion, Sacrament Preparation for First Reconciliation and Communion, Catechumenate adapted for Children, Catechesis of Children with Adaptive Needs, and liaison to parish school for catechesis and liturgy.
Expectations include recruitment and formation of volunteers, development of programming that meets the needs of today’s families, resource for Faith Formation Commission, and engagement with the parish staff.
A practicing Catholic who is in full communion with the Church.
A degree in religious education, theology or related field, or a Master Catechist certification from the Diocese of Cleveland, experience in administration and catechesis, strong planning and organizational skills, ability to work in a team environment, as well as interpersonal and communication skills compatible with the culture of a Roman Catholic parish.
This position is considered full-time with consideration given to flexible working hours to accommodate the parish and various ministry responsibilities.

Faith Formation for Children and Families
To assess catechetical needs, plan, design, implement and evaluate a comprehensive vision for parish catechetical programs
To direct and oversee Parish School of Religion for preschool through high school
To recruit and support formation of catechists
To implement the preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion with catechists, day school teachers, parents and children
To work with children and families preparing for entrance into the Catholic community through the Catechumenate adapted for children
To support the programs for children with adaptive needs To work collaboratively with the Faith Formation Team to develop parish programming
