Throughout a match which never seemed in doubt, the Wolfpack routed Montini on the road by a score of 13-0. It only took eleven seconds for the first chance to emerge, with Isaac Rice finding himself through on goal, though the shot was thwarted by the goalkeeper. Montini were able to hold off the attack for six minutes; Cristian Rodriguez played the ball across the box to Jack Regan who took advantage of a poorly positioned goalkeeper to score. Two minutes later, the lead was doubled by Regan with his head, coming off of a cross from Cristian Carr. Billy Thompson, playing as a center back, played an incisive ball through to Isaac Rice, who opened his account on the evening to make it 3-0 in the 12th minute. He scored his second in the 20th minute, Ignatius’ fourth. Both Jack Regan and Isaac Rice completed their hat tricks four minutes apart in the 21st and 25th minutes with assists from Billy Thompson and Tyler Masseur respectively. Within a minute, Rice scored his fourth, capitalizing on a heavy touch from the goalkeeper, making the score 7-0. Despite shipping seven goals, the starting goalkeeper for Montini made five solid saves. Following a goalkeeping change for both teams, Isaac Rice scored his fifth off of a rebounded header, the Wolfpack’s eighth, moments before halftime; this would be his final action of the game. In the half-length second half, the visitors’ blitz continued, with Dillon Kraft, Brody Hanlon, Colin Chough, Nick Williamson, and Cristian Carr all getting their names on the scoresheet. Cristian Carr, Nick Williamson, and Dillon Kraft (x2) all got second half assists. Jack Lowe had a strong game anchoring the midfield, and Ryan Fassnacht had a good impact playing as a right back, though his one shot narrowly missed the target. Andrew Krayer made one save, helping to keep the clean sheet.
