WOLFBYTE ROBOTICS IS GETTING A CNC MACHINE!

Brandon Stein
WolfByte 5822 is getting a CNC machine thanks to a generous donor to take the team to the next level.

The Saint Ignatius College Prep WolfByte robotics team began as a club in 2016.  WolfByte has 30-plus students participating on the team which competes in FIRST robotics competitions.  FIRST robotics hosts worldwide competitions for all grade levels.  WolfByte competes at the most competitive and complex program, First Robotics Competition.  Each year, FIRST publishes the parameters of the game.  You can find a video about this year's game here.

Thanks to a generous family, WolfByte has ordered a CNC (computer numerical control) machine.  A CNC machine processes a piece of material (metal, plastic, or wood) to meet specifications by following coded programmed instructions, and without a manual operator directly controlling the machining tool.

WolfByte looks forward to better preparing students for STEM careers and competing with the best teams in competition.  Mentors Brandon Stein, Sam Rauch, Dorian Flowers, Fred Jouhet, and Keith Johnstone guide WolfByte 5822.
