Saint Ignatius College Prep Athletics is excited to announce Pam Whitehead as its next Girls Soccer Head Coach.
Coach Whitehead joins the Wolfpack, after having spent time at Oak Park and River Forest High School, where she was an assistant varsity girls coach in 2022 and a freshman boys coach in fall of 2023. From 2017 until 2022, she was the girls soccer head coach at Oak Forest High School, leading the Bengals to three IHSA Regional Championships. She had a consistent winning record there, including forty combined wins across three seasons from 2018-2021 (no season in 2020 due to COVID). Coach Whitehead was also the boys soccer head coach at Evergreen Park High School from 2014-2018, where she was nominated for Coach of the Year and earned the 2015 South Suburban Sportsmanship Award. Previously, she was also a coach for the OPRF Strikers Soccer Club (now The Edge) and Blue Fire SC, as well as a middle school boys and girls soccer coach at the University of Chicago Lab School, for multiple seasons. Coach Whitehead has helped coach multiple student-athletes who have gone on to play collegiately, including St. Xavier, Western Illinois, Carthage, Governors State, Loras, Wheaton, Hope and Illinois Tech.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Whitehead to the Wolfpack!
