Wolfpack Fights but Unable to Advance

The Wolfpack wrapped up its season by competing in the IHSA Sectional. Unfortunately, the Pack was unable to advance any player to the IHSA State Finals. In singles play, Freshman Aidan Carlson lost a tough two and half hour long match 1-6, 7-6 (7), 4-6. Aidan never gave up and showed great tenacity. Sophomore Tommy Cilella secured a win, and faced the #1 seed in the quarterfinals. Tommy played an extremely high quality match in his quarterfinals, but fell one match short of qualifying for state. In double play, Nico Caicedo and Zach Fayad, secured a win and faced the #2 seed in the quarterfinals Unfortunately, they were unable to secure one more win to qualify for state. Niko Katsaros and KJ Boyle faced tough competition in their first round, but played their hearts out and left it all out on the court.
