Gusty Day Dose Not Slow Wolfpack

The Wolfpack turned in a gutsy 2nd place finish this past weekend at Grayslake Central, coming within just 12 points of the team title despite battling injuries and illness. Senior leaders Ethan Petrillo, Zach Tan, and Aidan Tansor set the pace, with junior Brendan Houlihan and freshman Alrik Swan rounding out the scoring five. The squad showed tremendous resilience as they overcame the absence of top runner Charlie Maida and hard-fought efforts from Swan and Houlihan, who both raced through illness. Exceptional performances highlighted the day, with personal records from junior Michael Gaffey and senior Mohammad Khalil, solidifying the Wolfpack’s top seven. The freshman class also made a statement with breakout PRs from Joseph Horos, Teddy Lynch, Edward Maley, and John Hlavin. Senior Owen Myers also contributed a strong performance, helping round out the team effort.
