MCAC Champions!!!

The Wolfpack captured the MCAC Championship for the sixth time in a row! This was the final year of the MCAC before the transition to the Chicago Catholic League next season as the Pack finished with a score of 361 to win the championship. Junior Connor Gunderson kicked off the meet with a victory in the 1m 11 dive competition with a new Loyola Academy NAC pool record of 470.50, with Sophomore Leo Fallara picking up a critical fifth place for 198.75 points. Senior Captain Alistair Guth won the 200 freestyle with a 1:39.42, establishing a new NAC pool record. Junior Charlie Cali placed third in the 200 freestyle, moving up to #8 all-time in school history. Senior Captain Carmine Fallara and Freshman Grant Robinson split third and fifth in the 200 IM, with Robinson moving to #10 all-time in school history. Sophomore Danny Scott won his first conference title in the 50 freestyle. Scott later teamed up with Robinson to score second and fifth in the 100 butterfly with Scott lowering his own Fresh-Soph Team Record. Guth won the 100 freestyle with Juniors Lincoln Routier and Christian Chora picking up sixth and eighth place. Routier later went on to score eighth in the 100 backstroke. Cali was runner-up in the 500 freestyle, with Sophomore Andrew Arreola scoring seventh. Fallara and Arreola scored out in the individual events with a split fourth and sixth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Wolfpack Relays placed fifth in the 200 medley relay (Fallara, Arreola, Robinson, Routier), second in the 400 freestyle relay (Cali, Guth, Robinson, Scott), and won the 200 freestyle relay (Guth, Fallara, Scott, Cali).
