The Wolfpack earned their first win of the young season on Monday night with a convincing 4-0 win over visiting Whitney Young. Junior captain Sienna Rezza scored twice in the first half on a solo strike and a second assisted by Abby Ray. In the second half freshman Sarah Reed assisted Adriana Parial on her goal and then added a goal of her own, assisted by Cate O’Meara. Keepers Skylar Gilbertson and Helen Shanabruch earned their first shutout of the season, supported by well-organized defense centered around the play of veteran centerbacks Libby Lowe and Sophia Smith.
