Saint Ignatius Featured in Accidentally Wes Anderson

The historic architecture of Saint Ignatius College Prep was recently spotlighted by Accidentally Wes Anderson.
The viral blog and social media project highlights locations that resemble the vibrant, symmetrical style of filmmaker Wes Anderson. The Accidentally Wes Anderson team has photographed landmarks around the world–from castles in Denmark to the Taj Mahal in India. Now, they’ve turned their lens to 1076.

The photography session in October was a homecoming for Grace Thornton ‘18, Marketing and Communications Director for Accidentally Wes Anderson. “My line of work encourages me to see beauty in everything,” Grace shared. “Coming back to capture the space allowed me to appreciate the school’s beauty on a different level entirely.”

Grace also credited the Saint Ignatius community with helping shape her career, noting that she entered the field through fellow alumna and former Accidentally Wes Anderson staff member Morgan Gaudet ’14.

The Wes Anderson-esque photographs of Saint Ignatius will be featured at an exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center in the summer of 2027, but you can view them digitally right now.
