Pack Sweep U of C Tri-Angular in Opener

The Pack kicked off the 2026 competition season with a major victory over Fenwick and U of C Lab School. Sophomores Sofia Medina and Dia Sankar teamed up with Freshman Jiajia Schmitt to take the top three spots in the 200 and 500 freestyle events. Senior Isabella Curiel won the 200 IM with Junior Gwen Pierce and Freshman Noelle Daly picking up second and fourth place. Senior Isabella Hobson, Junior Mia Scalise, and Hope Stenander swept the 50 freestyle, all under thirty seconds. Freshman Evie Mwenda scored 6th overall in the varsity division. Freshman Nina Grgurovic joined Sophomore Mary Moroney and Junior Mia Scalise to sweep the 100 fly.  Sophomores Nai’a Hernandez, Junior Maggie Dirlam, and Sophomore Micaela Cota also swept the 100 freestyle. Hobson joined Senior Captain Sasha Weffer and Freshman Noelle Daly to follow suit in the 100 backstroke, taking the top three spots. Hernandez, Curiel, and Pierce also placed first through third in the 100 breaststroke. The Wolfpack scored first, second, and fourth in the 200 medley relay and swept first through third in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
