Leading the Pack: Saint Ignatius College Prep Celebrates National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students
Saint Ignatius College Prep proudly celebrates the outstanding academic accomplishments of our students recognized in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. From earning places among the top scorers in the nation on the PSAT/NMSQT to demonstrating consistent scholastic dedication, these scholars reflect the very best of our school’s mission to form intellectually competent leaders.
The National Merit Scholarship Program serves as an initial screen of more than 1.3 million entrants each year. Achieving recognition as either a Semifinalist or Commended Student highlights exceptional academic promise and places our Wolfpack members among the premier high school scholars in the United States.
National Merit Semifinalists
Eight Saint Ignatius seniors have been officially named National Merit Semifinalists. Representing the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide, these academically talented students earned this honor based on their extraordinary performance on the PSAT/NMSQT.
As Semifinalists, these students now have the opportunity to advance to Finalist standing and compete for prestigious National Merit Scholarships offered next spring.
These eight students include: Nathan, Emilia, Katherine, Liam, Mary, Dominic, Elsa, and Lincoln.
National Merit Commended Students
In addition to our Semifinalists, Saint Ignatius College Prep is thrilled to announce that thirty members of the senior class have been recognized as National Merit Commended Students. Commended Students place among the top 50,000 scorers nationwide out of more than 1.5 million students who took the qualifying test.
Although they do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended Students represent critical academic leadership in our classrooms.
These thirty students include: Evelyn, Brian, Charles, Emmanuel, Livia, Cyrus, Ava, Michael, Alexandra, Katherine, Brendan, Andrew, Anna, Rolan, Henry, Madison, Angela, Kiran, Suhayla, Jake, John, Elena, George, Samuel, Elle, Erin, Daniel, Emilee, Sara, and Naomi.
Recognition by the National Merit Scholarship Program is a testament not only to individual talent and effort, but also to the unwavering support of Saint Ignatius faculty, counselors, and families who walk alongside our students every day.
Please join the entire Saint Ignatius College Prep community in congratulating these bright minds on their achievements and wishing our Semifinalists the best of luck in the next round of competition!
