Petrillo Runs 800 at IHSA State Finals

At the IHSA State Finals, Ethan Petrillo competed in the 800m race. During his race, the competitors went out in a slow pace and were bunch up in a pack fighting for position. After the first lap, Ethan was in the 5th position but as they started to enter the first curve in the second lap. The runner in front of Petrillo fell to the ground which caused Ethan to jump over him to get pass. This situation caused Ethan and a few other runners to slow down and the runner who was leading increased the pace. Ethan could not recover and finished 27th place overall with a time of 2.01.28.
