Split Squad Wins Opener in Wisconsin

The Wolfpack routed the competition at the season opener, Ike Invitational, in New Berlin, WI. Saint Ignatius had to split to two teams with the majority being freshmen and sophomores. Freshman Isabella Curiel joined Seniors Katharine Gilardi and Kirkland Milller and Junior Madi Manning for a 5th place finish in the 200 medley relay. Curiel later took 5th in the 100 breast. Sophomore Jackie Robinson placed 13th in the 200 free and 12th in the 100 free, both huge lifetime bests. Freshman Sasha Weffer placed 7th in the 50 free. Sophomore Lexie Jordan placed 9th in the 500 free. Weffer and Robinson joined Freshmen Morgan Hughes and Sophomore Katie Lannon to take 11th in the 200 free relay. Sophomore Emory Alford placed 15th in the 100 breaststroke. To close the invitational, Relay team of Weffer, Jordan and Sophomore Caroline Guzina joined Senior Alondra Torres to score 7th in the 400 free relay.
