Wolfpack Hold Home Turf

The Wolfpack defended home turf against Jesuit rival Loyola tonight by a score of 1-0 in a closely fought contest that saw both keepers make critical saves. Despite dominating possession in the first half, the score remained 0-0 at halftime. Keeper Caleb Teasley made a critical one-handed block to save a goal on the Ramblers best chance. The defense held strong with Joaquin Sifuentes playing exceptional “heads up” ball. With 6 minutes left in the game Cesar Diaz whipped a ball in on goal which the keeper could not handle cleanly, and Jack Matthes tapped it in for the game’s only goal. Jack Vaughn helped anchor the defense in the closing minutes to preserve the win. The Wolfpack went 4-2-3 in the Chicago Catholic League this season.
