Wolfpack Defeat Whitney Young

The Wolfpack defeated the Whitney Young Dolphins at Home on Senior Night 126-57. Junior Caitlin Seder, Sophomore Knox Kruk, Senior Alexis Nelson, and Senior Delaney Brown swept the 1m 6-dive competition, taking the top 4 spots—Seder’s final score of 281.65 broke the school record from a decade ago. Junior Livia Cremer and Senior Margaret Hickey scored first and second in the 200 freestyle. Senior Colleen Tracy, Freshman Sam Mondrus, and Sophomore Alexis Ambrosino scored second, third, and fourth in the 200 IM. Tracy later picked up a second place in the 100 breaststroke. Seniors Liepa Niaura, Angela Wideikis, and Maeve Shannon swept the 50 freestyle. Senior Franchesca Sanchez won the 100 butterfly, with Hickey picking up third place. Niaura and Wideikis scored first and second in the 100 freestyle. Junior Mariposa Arroyo, Mondrus, and Freshman Delaney Mulcrone swept the 500 freestyle. Cremer and Junior Chayse Massimino scored second and third in the 100 backstroke. The Wolfpack won all three relays with Senior Franchesca Sanchez establishing a new school record in the 50 freestyle, leading off the 200 freestyle relay. Her final time on 23.24 cleared the 2022 record by .16.
