Two crews represented the Wolfpack at the 60th annual Head of the Charles Regatta this past weekend in Boston, MA. The Head of the Charles is held over a three day period, and has approximately 11,000 athletes from four continents. It is one of the largest athletic events in the world. The junior women’s varsity 4+ of Taylor Tully (‘26), Maeve Tarpy ‘27), Lauren Ina Haas (‘27), Ramey Swan (‘27) and captain Sophia Shaughnessy (‘26) placed 46 out of 86 crews, and were also 9th place for scholastic teams. The junior men’s varsity 4+ of captain Rohin Patel (‘26), John Anderson (‘26), Linus Quinn-Pasin (‘27), Daniel Shutler (‘27) and Aidan Murphy (‘27) placed 25th out of 86 crews, were 10th scholastically, and captured an automatic bid for next year’s race. The rest of the Wolfpack rowers competed in a friendly cross-town competition in Skokie with Evanston Township High School and New Trier High School. It was a great day of racing, with a men’s varsity 4+ consisting of Sophie Marcus (‘28) Harrison Knapp (‘27), Sam Schuler (‘27), Edward Groh (‘28) and Joe Senechalle (‘28) placed 3rd out of 5 crews.
