Conroy Takes Second for Second Place Wolfpack

The Wolfpack took second place at the Pat Savage Invite held at Niles West on Saturday, losing to Oswego East but defeating 33 other teams, including Loyola and DePaul. Junior Matthew Conroy finished second place overall for the Wolfpack with an outstanding time of 15 minutes and 15.25 seconds on the 3-mile course around the Niles West athletic fields. ,Senior Thomas Fitzpatrick placed seventh with another strong race, running 15:40. Senior Luke Turner (16th in 15:54), junior Henry Fink (38th in 16:15) , and senior Christian Turner (39th in 16:15) completed the five-man scoring team for the Wolfpack. Ignatius scored 100 points just behind Oswego East’s low score of 94. DePaul was third (133), New Trier fourth (176), Oswego fifth (184), and Loyola sixth (195).
