Girls Catholic Athletic Conference Indoor Champions
2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2024Saint Ignatius Track & Field is a class 3A program that competes in the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC). The track season begins in late January and runs through May. The team competes in both indoor (late January;March) and outdoor (April;May) contests. Meets can vary from two-team dual competitions to 25+ team invitationals. Wolfpack Track & Field is a no-cut sport. If an athlete is willing and able to commit fully to the program, give her best effort daily, and bring a positive attitude to the team, she is welcome to join.

GCAC Champions!!!
The Wolfpack added the Outdoor Championship to the Indoor one earned in March with a 47-point margin over the nearest opponent. The team won nine of the 18 Red Division events. The four GCAC championship relays teams were - 4x800 - Gabriella Duque, Emma Valencia, Elle Sheaffer, Courtney Beatty; 4x200 - Tori Scott, Sophia Mendoza, Chika Ezike, Tylar Mayberry; 4x400 - Maeve Griffin, Meghan Semmer, Duque, Annika Swan; 4x100 - Scott, Mendoza, Ezike, Maliyah Miller. The 4x100 broke the meet and school records. Scott added a victory in the Long Jump, Miller won the 100 and 400. Swan broke her own meet record in the 1600. In the 800 she broke the meet record, the all-time stadium record and her previous school record. Semmer (800) and Mendoza (200) finished second to also earn All-GCAC honors. Lizeth Montes (3rd) and Ella Hwang (4th) earned valuable points in the 3200. The hurdlers added lots of points with their strong finishes. Alexis Nelson was fourth in both hurdle races and Megan Winters added a 5th and 6th-place finish. Scott earned a fourth medal with a 5th-place finish in the 100. Maeve Griffin was fourth in the 400 and Maliyah Miller earned her fourth medal by finishing fourth in the 200. Maeve Houlihan placed 3rd and 4th in the horizontal jumps, Claire Mangan was third in the Triple Jump, Zzaje Jean was seventh in the Shot Put, Hwang was sixth in the 1600 and Emme Alexander achieved a PR while finishing sixth in the High Jump.Read More -
Wolfpack Take Home Title on Senior Night
The Wolfpack celebrated Senior Day with a windy, rainy victory against 10 teams at the Wolfpack Invite. Event winners were Annika Swan (800), Courtney Beatty (1600), the 4x100 Relay (Tori Scott, Sophia Mendoza, Karina Casanova, Chika Ezike), the 4x200 Relay (Lucy Nash, Richelle Asamoah, Emme Alexander, Angela Panoff) and the 4x400 Relay (Swan, Beatty, Nola Weintraub, Gabriella Duque). The Wolfpack won a four-team meet last night on the home track. Event winners included Zzaje Jean, Emme Alexander, Tori Scott, Maliyah Miller, Courtney Beatty, Annika Swan, Alexis Nelson, Megan Winters, Sophia Mendoza, Karina Casanova, Chika Ezike, Maeve Griffin, Meghan Semmer, Gabriella Duque and Emma Valencia. Relays Lead Charge for Pack
The Wolfpack won the 16-team Lake Park Invite. Relays led the way with victories by the 4x800 (Meghan Semmer, Courtney Beatty, Allison Leonard, Emma Valencia) and the 4x200 (Tori Scott, Sophia Mendoza, Chika Ezike, Maliyah Miller). The 4x100 relay (Scott, Mendoza, Ezike, Miller) finished second and the 4x400 relay (Gabriella Duque, Valencia, Nola Weintraub, O'Reilly) finished third. Season Best Times for Wolfpack
The Pack took part in the Palatine Distance Night on Saturday. Annika Swan finished fourth in the championship race of the mile, earning a season-best time. Ella Hwang achieved a lifetime best in the mile.Read More -
Depth Leads Pack to Championship

Wolfpack Place 3rd at Schaumburg
The Pack finished a close 3rd of 11 teams, trailing host Schaumburg 111-101. Event winners were Maliyah Miller (100, 400), Annika Swan (800) and the 4x100 Relay (Miller, Sophia Mendoza, Chika Ezike, Tylar Mayberry). The Wolfpack had a close win in the eight-team Mark Medland Invite at Niles West. The Wolfpack finished third out of 21 teams at the All-Catholic Invite in St. Louis. Emme Alexander won the High Jump. Other medalists were Maliyah Miller (2nd - 100; 2nd - 200) and Tori Scott (3rd - Long Jump). The 4x200 Relay (Tylar Mayberry, Nariana Briggs, Meredith Lannon, Alexander) finished second, the 4x100 Relay (Scott, Sophia Mendoza, Kennedy Drayton, Lisa Hardman) was third and the 4x800 Relay (Elle Sheaffer, Courtney Beatty, Mary O'Reilly, Allison Leonard) was third.Read More -
Wolfpack Win GCAC Indoor Championship
The Wolfpack won the 15-team indoor GCAC Conference Championship on Sunday. This was a true team effort as 24 of our entries earned top-8 finishes which scored valuable team points. Individual event champions were Maliyah Miller (60, 200) and Annika Swan (800, 1600). The Wolfpack also won the 4x200 Relay (Tori Scott, Chika Ezike, Sophia Mendoza, Miller) and the 4x800 Relay (Emma Valencia, Elle Sheaffer, Allison Leonard, Courtney Beatty). The 4x400 Relay of Meave Griffin, Meghan Semmer, Gabriella Duque and Valencia also earned All-GCAC honors by finishing second. Emme Alexander added a third-place finish in the High Jump.Read More -

Swan Breaks School Record
Eleven distance runners competed for the Wolfpack at the Batavia Distance Madness. Annika Swan won the 3200 and set a new school record. Ella Hwang PR'ed in the 1600 while Gabriella Duque, Megan McClain, Maeve Griffin and Mary O'Reilly PR'ed in the 800.Read More -
Pack Run Relays at Gately
The Wolfpack competed in three relays at the Gately Park track. Two 4x800 teams ran in the first event. The Wolfpack teams finished first and sixth. The winning team of Gabriella Duque, Elle Sheaffer, Allison Leonard and Courtney Beatty ran the seventh fastest time in Illinois in this race. The second team of Mary O'Reilly, Megan McClain, Pilar Curran and Maeve Gawne ran four season-best times. The 4x200 relay team of Alexis Nelson, Maliyah Miller, Sophia Mendoza and Tori Scott finished 11th and cut two seconds off of their previous best time of the season.Read More -
Pack Set Indoor Record at Relays
The Wolfpack contested all three relays at the Mustang Relays at North Central College. The 4x800 team of Maeve Griffin, Annika Swan, Ella Hwang and Lizeth Montes set a new indoor school record with their fifth-place time of 9:29.47. This time is now the fifth fastest in Illinois. The 4x200 team broke 2:00 with Lisa Hardman, Jane Mangan, Tyler Mayberry and Chloe Richards. Richards came back to run with Meghan Semmer, Emma Valencia and Nola Weintraub in the 4x400 where all four recorded season-best times as the team finished 22nd.Read More -
Pack Places Third as Swan Breaks Record
The Wolfpack placed third out of twenty two teams at the Lakes Invite. Annika Swan won the 800 and set a new fieldhouse record. Soon after that she finished second in the 1600. Maliyah Miller finished third in the 60 and 200. Miller joined Sophia Mendoza, Chika Ezike and Tori Scott on a fourth-place 4x200 relay team. The Wolfpack brought its biggest team ever to Lockport and won seven of the nine running events. Maliyah Miller (60, 200), Annika Swan (400), Ella Hwang (800) and Gabriella Duque (1600) won their events. The 4x800 Relay (Allison Leonard, Lizeth Montes, Hwang, Mary O'Reilly) and 4x400 Relay (Maeve Griffin, Duque, Swan, Meghan Semmer) were also victorious. Relays Lead Charge at Gately
The Pack headed to Gately Stadium for their third meet of the young indoor season Saturday at a 51 team event hosted by Hope Academy. All three varsity relays scored points in the huge event. The 4x800 (Maeve Gawne, Megan McClain, Sarah Fitzgerald, Julieta Mayorga) and 4x400 (Alexis Nelson, Annika Swan, Ella Hwang, Lizeth Montes) were second and the 4x200 (Sophia Mendoza, Karina Casanova, Tori Scott, Tylar Mayberry) finished eighth. Swan won the 1600 with teammates Hwang and Montes finishing 5th and 7th respectively. Nelson was seventh in the hurdles. Gabriella Duque placed in two events - second in the 800 and fifth in the 400. Pack Open Indoor Season at Lyons
The Wolfpack won eight of the 10 running events at Lyons yesterday. Event winners were Ella Hwang (800), Maliyah Miller (200, 300), Alexis Nelson (60 Hurdles), Annika Swan (400) and Courtney Beatty (1600).
