    The Saint Ignatius Girls Basketball program creates an environment of excellence for young women through an expectation of dedication, an appreciation of competition and a sacrifice to team. We encourage young women to challenge themselves, mentally and physically, to compete today to prepare for tomorrow. The Wolfpack compete in Class 3A with the Illinois High School Association and play in the highly competitive Girls Catholic Athletic Conference.

    Coach Cara Doyle took over the Saint Ignatius College Prep Girls Basketball program in 2012. Since then, the Wolfpack has recorded four 20-plus win seasons, captured a Girls Catholic Athletic Conference Championship, won six regional titles, and made two Sweet Sixteen appearances. Doyle was named IBCA Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2023, and she has more than a dozen graduates who have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

    Prior to coaching and teaching at Saint Ignatius, Doyle worked at ESPN as a long-format documentary producer. She has two Emmy awards for her work on the ESPN SportsCentury Series.
